THURSDAY, 9th JUNE

A day in London

Before going to London, the children of year 5 have some gifts for us, bracelets and some chocolates. A nice way to begin our day.

At the station, waiting for our train.

The train wasn't the right one, so we take the bus to arrive at Trafalgar Square. An adventure for us. Lovely trip!

WEDNESDAY, 8th JUNE

Morning

After our first night with the families, we come back to the School and we begin to prepare the dances we are going to show this afternoon in the Maypole Festival.

Afterwards, we visit the Chiddingstone Castle, where we can see curious collections about Samurais, Buddhism and Egypt.

Afternoon

And before the lunch the school celebrates the granny's 90th birthday. While London is celebrating the Queen's birthday, Chiddingstone has her own queen, a lovely grandmother who has been collaborating with them for more than twenty years. A nice way to thank her disinterested dedication.

It's time: Maypole Festival.

And our dances, "Ball de les gitanes" and "Ball de bastons".

While you are enjoying from the blog, we'll be having a nice swim in a teacher's house.

Tuesday at school

Our first contact has been great. We have done our presentations and then we've organised different groups to help them with their Spanish through the games we had prepared in Barcelona.

In the afternoon, "Treasure hunting" to discover different places and objects at the school and tea time with scones and victory cakes.
